K-Electric Bill Check Online 2026

Enter your 13-digit KE account number to open your current K-Electric bill. The form below is K-Electric's own, loaded directly from their billing system. What you see is the official bill rather than a recalculation. Also available via the KE Live app, WhatsApp at 0348-0000118, or SMS to 8119.

Check Your KE Bill Online

Your 13-digit K-Electric account number is printed at the top right of any previous KE bill. The number belongs to the connection, not to the billing month, so an older bill works just as well as the most recent one. Enter it below to view your current charges, fuel charge adjustment, taxes, arrears, and payment due date.

Form not loading? K-Electric occasionally restricts the embedded view. Open the same bill check directly on K-Electric's official website, or use the KE Live app, WhatsApp on 0348-0000118, or text your account number to 8119.

Why K-Electric Works Differently from PEPCO Distribution Companies

Every other electricity supplier covered on this site is one of the eleven distribution companies under PEPCO, and all of them issue bills through the shared PITC platform at bill.pitc.com.pk. That is why a single reference number lookup returns a bill for LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, IESCO, and the remaining eight companies.

K-Electric does not operate under that structure. It was privatised in 2005 and is the only vertically integrated power utility in the country, handling its own generation, transmission, and distribution without sharing infrastructure with the national grid to the same degree other utilities do. It is regulated separately by NEPRA under its own licence terms. The billing system is proprietary, and the 13-digit account number format reflects that independent setup. If you have moved to Karachi from another part of Pakistan, this is the most noticeable practical difference in how you access and pay your electricity bill.

What's on a K-Electric Bill: FCA, QTA and the Other Charges

A K-Electric bill is built from the same basic idea as any DISCO bill — units consumed, a tariff rate, and a set of regulatory adjustments — but the adjustment lines carry K-Electric-specific names that will not match a LESCO or MEPCO bill:

  • FCA (Fuel Charge Adjustment): reflects the actual cost of the fuel mix used to generate your electricity that month, approved by NEPRA and typically applied around two months after the fact. It can add to your bill or subtract from it depending on fuel costs at the time.
  • QTA (Quarterly Tariff Adjustment): a broader cost review NEPRA carries out every three months. This is specific to K-Electric — PEPCO distribution companies do not have a QTA line.
  • GST: general sales tax applied to your total electricity consumption, same as every other utility bill in Pakistan.
  • Meter rent: a fixed monthly charge tied to the connection itself rather than to usage.

If your units consumed stayed roughly the same but the total amount moved, check the FCA and QTA lines first — that is usually where the difference comes from, not a change in your own usage. For a fuller breakdown of how these charges are calculated across Pakistani utilities generally, see our guide on fuel price adjustment.

How to Pay Your K-Electric Bill

Once you have your KE account number, paying does not require the printed bill:

  • KE Live app: pay directly from the app on Android or iOS using a linked bank card or wallet.
  • Mobile wallets: JazzCash and Easypaisa both accept K-Electric bill payments against the account number.
  • Bank apps and 1-Link ATMs: most major banks list K-Electric as a biller under utility payments.
  • Over the counter: designated bank branches and K-Electric customer care centres across Karachi still accept cash payment against a printed or digital copy of the bill.

After payment, allow 2 to 3 banking days for the cleared balance to show on the KE Live app or the web portal. For channels beyond K-Electric specifically, our guide on paying electricity bills with JazzCash and Easypaisa covers the wallet side of this in more detail.

K-Electric Complaints, Outages and the 118 Helpline

K-Electric complaints and outage reports go through K-Electric's own channels, separate from the DISCO subdivision-office model used elsewhere in Pakistan:

  • Phone: 118 (general helpline) or 99000 (customer care)
  • WhatsApp: 0348-0000118 — send "HI" to start a chat
  • SMS: text COMP followed by your 13-digit account number to 8119
  • KE Live app: lodge and track a complaint from your phone

These same channels handle billing disputes, meter faults, and new connection status, in addition to outage reporting.

Where K-Electric Supplies Power

K-Electric serves roughly 3.4 million connections spread across Karachi and extending into Dhabeji and Gharo in Sindh and Uthal, Vinder and Bela across the Balochistan border. If your meter is anywhere else in Pakistan, it belongs to one of the PEPCO distribution companies and you can check that bill using a reference number.

Karachi is the only major urban centre in Pakistan where the electricity supply system operates independently of the national PEPCO framework. This affects everything from how bills are calculated and disputed to how new connections are applied for and how load-shedding schedules are announced.

Frequently Asked Questions — K-Electric Bill

Where is my K-Electric account number on the bill?

Your K-Electric account number is the 13-digit number printed at the top right of your monthly KE bill. It is assigned to the meter connection and stays the same every month. An older bill works just as well as a recent one for looking up your current charges.

Why does K-Electric use a different account number from LESCO or MEPCO?

K-Electric is not one of the eleven PEPCO distribution companies and does not bill through the PITC platform used by LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, and the others. K-Electric was privatised in 2005 and runs its own generation, transmission, and distribution network under a separate regulatory framework. Its billing system uses a 13-digit account number rather than the 14-digit reference number format used by PEPCO companies.

Which areas does K-Electric supply electricity to?

K-Electric serves approximately 3.4 million connections across Karachi along with Dhabeji and Gharo in Sindh and Uthal, Vinder and Bela in Balochistan. Every other electricity supply area in Pakistan is served by one of the eleven PEPCO distribution companies or the AJK Electricity Department.

What other ways can I get my K-Electric bill without visiting an office?

K-Electric offers four channels besides the web portal. The KE Live app on Android and iOS shows your current bill after entering your account number. WhatsApp at 0348-0000118 returns your bill details in a chat message after you send "HI" to start. Sending your account number by SMS to 8119 triggers an SMS reply with your bill amount and due date. All four channels give the same bill information as the paper copy.

Can I pay my K-Electric bill using just the account number?

Yes. Bank mobile apps, JazzCash, Easypaisa, and 1-Link ATMs all accept K-Electric payments using the 13-digit account number. You do not need the printed paper bill to pay before the due date. After payment, the KE Live app and the web portal should reflect the cleared balance within 2 to 3 banking days.

What is FCA and QTA on a K-Electric bill?

FCA (Fuel Charge Adjustment) and QTA (Quarterly Tariff Adjustment) are both NEPRA-approved and specific to K-Electric's billing structure. FCA reflects the actual cost of fuel used to generate power that month, applied roughly two months later, and can be positive or negative. QTA is a broader cost adjustment NEPRA reviews every three months. Neither term appears on a LESCO, MEPCO or other PEPCO bill, which uses FPA (Fuel Price Adjustment) instead — the mechanism is similar, but the K-Electric bill shows it under a different name.

How do I report a K-Electric complaint or power outage?

Call the K-Electric helpline on 118 or the customer care line on 99000. You can also message "HI" to the WhatsApp number 0348-0000118, or send an SMS in the format COMP followed by your 13-digit account number to 8119. The KE Live app also supports lodging a complaint and tracking its status.

How do I apply for a new K-Electric connection?

New connection applications for K-Electric go through K-Electric's own process rather than the ENC portal used by several PEPCO distribution companies. Apply through the KE Live app, the ke.com.pk website, or a K-Electric customer care centre. This is separate from checking or paying an existing bill.

checkbillsonline.pk is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by K-Electric. The bill form above is served by K-Electric and any details you enter go to K-Electric directly, not to this site. Always verify the amount shown before making payment.
