How to Pay — Full Process
Open the JazzCash app and sign in with your MPIN.
Tap 'Pay Bill' then 'Electricity'.
Select your company (MEPCO, LESCO, etc.) from the list.
Enter your 14-digit reference number and tap 'Inquire'. The amount and due date load from PITC.
Confirm and tap 'Pay'. You receive an SMS receipt with a transaction ID - keep it in case of a disputed payment.
Advantages & Limitations of This Method
✓ Advantages
- Available 24/7 and settles instantly on the DISCO side.
- No transaction fee on most electricity bills.
- Paperless receipt - the transaction ID is proof of payment.
⚠ Limitations
- Requires a registered JazzCash account and sufficient wallet balance.
- On rare occasions the DISCO reflects the payment after 24–48 hours; keep the receipt.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will JazzCash work after the due date?
Yes - JazzCash accepts payments on the after-due-date amount too. If the late-payment surcharge has kicked in, the 'Inquire' step shows the higher amount.
What if JazzCash says 'bill not found'?
Re-check the 14-digit reference number against your paper bill or our bill checker. Leading zeros matter. If it still fails, the DISCO may not have uploaded this month's bill yet; try again after a few hours.
